O Doctor optime (O most noble Doctor),

Ecclesiae sanctae lumen (light of the holy Church),

beate Thoma* (blessed Thomas*),

divinae legis amator (lover of divine law):

deprecare pro nobis Filium Dei (pray to the Son of God for us).

[*The name Thoma can be replaced by any other Doctor of the Church]
